In what year did you begin working in the real estate industry as a REALTOR®? “2003.” Why do you like working in the real estate industry? “After buying and selling several homes during personal moves and working with various REALTORS®, some good and some not so good, I decided to explore real estate as a career option. My father was a REALTOR® at that time and had referred me to a broker in another state. After completing a home purchase through her, she offered me a position on her team. It was an excellent way to learn the business, and I felt like I had finally found my niche. I like the service aspect and always running my business by the Golden Rule. It’s always rewarding to assist clients in reaching their goals of home ownership. I particularly enjoy helping someone see the possibilities each house offers and helping to create a vision for how they might live in a home. It’s equally rewarding to help sellers showcase their asset in the best possible way and help them realize the best price possible in a sale. Every day brings something new!” In what year did you become affiliated with Semonin Realtors®? “2009.” Why do you choose to affiliate your business with Semonin? “The principles that Semonin operates under most closely align with my personal principles: Honesty & Integrity; Mutual Respect & Caring; Continual Pursuit of Excellence; Family Takes Priority; Loyalty in Our Relationships. I am a Kentucky Colonel. Gardening, decorating, reading and occasional travel are also things I enjoy.” What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? “There are many things I’ve learned and am still learning, but my father always said, ‘A piece of the pie is better than no pie,’ and that is the truth!” What is your favorite book/type of book? Why? “Reading is a favorite activity of mine, and my favorite types of books are historical fiction and non-fiction that tell a story in such a way that I’m swept along and am actually seeing it as it unfolds.” Do you have a motto/words to live by? “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
